Positon: Head Medical Services,
Reports to: HSE Manager
Department: Health, Safety and Environment
Below specific requirements
- The role is primarily responsible for treating and preventing occupational illnesses, injuries, diseases and disabilities at the workplace.
- Capable to Evaluate the health and functional abilities of employees, develop and implement health and safety programs, and provide medical care for work-related injuries and illnesses.
- To assess and treat work-related illnesses, assist employers in identifying areas of risk for workers’ health and safety.
- Perform physical examinations and provide diagnosis and treatment for all work associate illnesses.
- Perform minor procedures at the in-house clinic facilities.
- Provide overall quality, patient triage, refer patients with complications to outside medical centers
- Assist with managing and guiding work-life balance with chronic illnesses including diabetes, hypertension.
- Responsible for evaluating the health and physical fitness to work of new joiners.
- To plan and conduct annual occupational health comprehensive medical evaluations of workforce and assess their fitness to work and identify and report any work-related health concerns
- Advise on return-to-work ensuring that the employee can safely resume the work after an injury or illness or long sick leave
- Carry out health risk assessments and workplace inspections to identify potential hazards and recommend improvements
- Develop and implement and manage workplace health safety programs aiming prevention of injuries and promoting overall employee well-being
- Capable of enhancing the health of workers through clinical care, preventive medicine
- Develop and provide Patient education service, training and awareness sessions in-house focusing on workplace hazards in manufacturing industries
Should possess on top of Professional medical degree
- Specialized training and proven experience in occupational medical care and medicines.
- Previous work experience as occupational medicine physician with a reputed organization
- GCC experience is an advantage.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:
Minimum Qualifications:
MBBS degree or equivalent (Bachelor Degree)
Qualification in occupational health preferred.
Minimum Experience:
Minimum of 8-10 years of experience of which at least 5 years are in positions of progressively increasing managerial responsibilities.
Job-Specific Skills (Generic / Technical):
Proficiency in English and Arabic.
Ability to provide strategic direction and swiftly adapt the plans in line with changing trends.
Understanding of safety in manufacturing business and related industry.
Advanced leadership skills and ability to manage personnel in a multi-cultural work environment.
