Service’s / Structure’s Main Tasks | To control Electrical Teams operational activities, in order to ensure the provision of cost effective, proactive maintenance and engineering services that meet the current and future needs of the production process and hence support the achievement of corporate objectives.
To maintain all, equipment of MH.LCP in good working order. Improve equipment reliability by increasing the mean time between failures (MTBF) while reducing the mean time to repair (MTTR). Ensure, in accordance with the Rules, and section Head Instructions the operations of maintenance of technical equipment, and Electrical installations of the unit. |

Main Tasks/ Reasons For Being/ Purposes Of The Position | -To plan and control the activities of the electrical and instrument maintenance shift in order to ensure that shift operations are carried out in the most efficient and effective manner and continuous maintenance support to the production process is achieved and maintained.
-For on-line jobs in the plant, time pressure is strong and the emphasis is on rapid decision-making and effective troubleshooting. For jobs off-line, time horizons are longer and the emphasis is on effective planning, co-ordination and control of activities to meet operating deadlines. -To Plan, supervise and follow up the inspection and maintenance of electrical equipment to ensure electrical equipment’s safe operation. |

Activities / Tasks
|
-Prepares the preventive maintenance follow-up records and consider the necessary corrective actions to overcome any deviation from the plans.
-Direct and control the activities of the shift in order to ensure that the maintenance shift operations are carried out in the most efficient and safe manner, ensuring compliance to all applicable work instructions/procedures and taking corrective action as appropriate. -Provides technical assistance to the maintenance staff to ensure the satisfactory maintenance quality. In addition, Proposes themes for the quality control circle teams and assist them in the application of their themes to improve the maintenance quality and minimize the maintenance cost. -Monitor and control spares in order to ensure that minimum stock is available all the time. -Assign routine and non-routine tasks and duties to Technicians in order to ensure that maintenance activities are carried out in the most efficient and safe way -Prepare the duty roster in order to ensure that manpower is effectively matched to operational requirements that will enable the provision of continuous and reliable maintenance support. Implement both planned and unplanned changes to scheduled activities in order to ensure operational efficiency is maximized. -Conduct on the job training, demonstration and instruction for new and/or existing employees in order to support their professional development and ensure the highest standards of performance are achieved across the shift team -Monitor and control overtime activity in order to ensure that manpower costs are minimized -Attend and/or run daily shift / section meetings in order to ensure all section shift activities and events are properly understood and communicated. -Liaise with other Departments and outside agencies (e.g. equipment suppliers) in order to exchange information, resolve problems and ensure the continuous smooth running of maintenance section operations that meet corporate needs -Check and continuously review operating and safety standards and procedures, updating and modifying as appropriate under the direction of the Maintenance Engineer/Section Head. -Deal with any operational issues or problems as they arise on the Section, resolving or escalating problems as appropriate, ensuring the integrity of the operation and the continuous availability of rigorous and reliable maintenance services -Plan for annual repairs and scheduled maintenance jobs in order to ensure that all tools, equipment, materials and manpower are available at the right time in order to make optimal use of shutdown / off-line time -Attend breakdowns and supervise repair activity in order to ensure that plant and equipment downtime is minimized. -Handle emergencies according to company procedure in order to ensure that risk to personnel and plant / equipment is minimized. -Support Maintenance Engineers in project activity and technical studies as required in order to support the ongoing improvement of operational processes -Prepare annual budget figures for the Section for the Engineer / Manager’s approval that accurately represent anticipated costs and enable effective cost management -Participate in Quality Control Circle activity, evaluating, recommending and implementing improvement ideas as appropriate so that all relevant processes are continually improved -Participate in the monthly HES safety patrol, fire drill and environment audit in order to ensure any HES operating issues are understood and appropriate corrective action is taken -Maintain log books, equipment histories, drawings and other documentation in line with standard requirements -Carryout survey during shutdowns and ensure all the activities are done by QS team and contractors with all safety precautions. – All other tasks inherent in its service. – Ensure compliance with the internal regulations and HSE guidelines. |
