Job Description

  • Execute technical activities in DR Mechanical section, ensuring the effective execution of the maintenance Plan.
  • Comply to duties assigned by superiors to ensure that equipment are maintained efficiently and safely.
  • Implement both planned and unplanned maintenance shutdown and troubleshooting to ensure that the mechanical equipment are well maintained and the plant downtime is minimized.
  • Participate in daily shift meetings to ensure reception of all section shift activities and events.
  • Deal with maintenance technical issues as they arise and ensure the continuous execution of the maintenance activities.
  • Support Shift Supervisor in documentation of processes and procedures for internal and external auditing.
  • Identity plant/equipment maintenance requirements and communicate them to the other sections/departments, ensuring co-ordination on all maintenance activities.
  • Observe and inspect equipment and identify any defects / issues in order to ensure that equipment is functioning properly and in compliance with specific operating standards
  • Guide the assessment of defects and determine the best equipment repair method in order to ensure the continuous availability of fully functioning plant and equipment at optimal cost
  • Support the mechanical maintenance team to handle unscheduled emergencies cases, diagnosis and repair activities, when necessary according to company procedure in order to ensure that risk to personnel and plant / equipment is minimized

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School OR Technical School.
  • Technical Diploma Mechanical (Preferred).

Minimum Experience:

  • 4-5 years relevant work experience in Midrex DR plants.

Job-Specific Skills (Generic / Technical):

  • Technical awareness of Mechanical equipment used in Midrex DR plant
  • Knowledge and understanding of plant layout, equipment and DR process.
  • Knowledge of mechanical equipment used in DR plant.
  • Knowledge and understanding of plant automation and network topology
