General Summary :The Shutdown Scheduler is accountable for the scheduling and development of the most efficient resource leveled Schedules to enable accurate operations simulated executable schedules. The Maintenance scheduler is also accountable for Schedule execution tracking and updating. Develop, communicate and maintain a workable schedule to balance work requirements and site priorities in preparation of Shutdowns and during execution.
Ensure schedule meets production priorities and is optimized.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Key Accountabilities)
- • Facilitating regular Shutdown scheduling meeting with production and maintenance stakeholders
- • Developing schedules based on negotiated production unit priorities and current business environment to optimize the use of site wide available resources
- – Ensures appropriate scheduling logic including amount of preventative maintenance work vs. corrective work
- • Providing feedback to planners on quality of job plan detail and logic
- • Publishing and updating daily and weekly schedules to affected work groups during shutdown execution
- – Adjusting schedules to accommodate changing priorities or available resources
- • Responding to and participating in the timely execution of critical priority jobs
- – Assists shutdown execution in the re-alignment of schedule based on process needs and the current priorities and risks during shutdown.
- • Monitoring and tracking daily shutdown schedule compliance and publishing results.
- • Providing reports on resource utilization and providing input into any staffing changes that may be necessary based on historical trends and forecasts

- Demonstrated organizational, Planning and Scheduling skills
- Knowledge and understanding of maintenance processes and proper use of the work order system, planning and scheduling
- Clear view of inter dependencies between production and maintenance processes
- Advanced knowledge of scheduling software
Minimum Education Qualifications (Must Haves) Any preferred professional training (Nice to have)
· Relevant Trade or University Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering. | |
· SAP maintenance modules
· Microsoft Project or Primavera Certification |
· Turn Around or Major Shutdown planning
· Maintenance Management diploma |
Professional Experience (Must haves) Previous Experience/exposure Recommendations (Nice to have)
